The first thing that happens when you perform the Sony Ericsson Remote Update Service is that the new software is downloaded to your mobile. This takes around 2-15 minutes depending on the size of the download. Next your mobile is updated with the downloaded software, which takes about 10 -20. When the update is finished you need to restart your phone by pressing and holding the “On/Off” button for at least 3 seconds.
